Job summary

SP Energy Networks is seeking a strategic leader to head energy planning and optimisation initiatives across government partners and local authorities, helping shape long-term energy plans and regional approaches. You will oversee DSO projects, drive reporting, analysis and stakeholder engagement, and identify opportunities to enhance network modelling and automation.

You'll bring experience in regulated environments, engineering background, and strong leadership to develop high-performing

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
Experience delivering projects in regulated industries.
Knowledge of GB electricity network planning and risks.
Proven leadership and people management experience.
Strong commercial awareness and business planning capability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
Strong analytical skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Lead a team delivering strategic energy planning and optimisation activities.
