Job summary

ScottishPower is seeking a Strategic Optimisation Manager in Glasgow. You’ll lead a team delivering strategic energy planning and optimisation to support Net Zero goals, engaging with government bodies, local authorities and industry partners.

Responsibilities include overseeing DSO projects, shaping regional and national energy approaches, and advancing modelling and automation capabilities while reporting with stakeholders. A regulated-environment background is essential.

Qualifications

A degree in Engineering or an equivalent discipline/experience.
Experience delivering projects in regulated industries.
Knowledge of GB electricity network planning, operation and risks.
Proven leadership and people management abilities.
Strong commercial awareness and strategic business planning.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
Strong analytical and Excel/Word/PowerPoint capabilities.
