Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to be aligned with a business area in a hybrid Leicester/Bexhill setting. You will coach leaders, manage ER casework end-to-end, and drive consistent, fair decision making while supporting organisational change and risk management.

You will work closely with HR leaders and unions where needed, translating complex employment legislation into practical guidance and delivering insightful reporting to the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Strong experience within Employee Relations in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience guiding organisational change programmes and redeployment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving business needs.
• Experience leading collective and individual consultation processes with unions and forums.

Responsibilities

• Partner with your aligned business area to deliver commercial and people outcomes through coaching and ER expertise.
• Proactively working with leaders to identify and resolve issues across core areas.
• Coach leaders on policies and processes to ensure fair, consistent decision making.
• Manage end-to-end employee relations casework with guidance on best practices.
• Identify trends from casework and provide reporting to leadership.
• Oversee complex ER matters in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
