Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking an Employee Relations Consultant within HR who will align to a business area and coach leaders on colleague issues, driving risk management and organisational change in a dynamic environment.

You will partner with leaders to identify and resolve issues, coach on policies, and manage ER casework end-to-end while providing insightful reporting to support leadership decisions and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in employee relations within a highly regulated environment.
• Experience supporting organisational change programmes, including redeployment principles.
• Ability to lead collective and individual consultation processes with Trade Unions and colleague forums.
• Understanding of the Employment Rights Act and translating legislative requirements into practical ER advice.
• Experience handling absence, conduct, grievances and performance management with MI reporting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the aligned business area to deliver commercial and people outcomes through coaching and ER expertise.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues across core areas with leaders.
• Coach leaders on policies and processes to ensure fair decision making.
• Manage ER casework end-to-end and advise leaders on best practices.
• Highlight trends from casework to support leadership on risk and improvements.
• Oversee complex ER matters in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
