Job summary

A local government authority in Greater London is seeking a Business & Workforce Development Manager for a hybrid role. The successful candidate will lead the Workforce Development Plan, generate income through training services, and manage early education funding initiatives to enhance childcare outcomes. Essential qualifications include experience in project and financial management, stakeholder engagement, and communication. This is an initial temporary contract for 6 months, with the possibility of extension or permanent placement, offering a negotiable salary based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience of project and financial management.
  • Experience of producing a range of written and oral information for a wide range of audiences.
  • Experience of working with stakeholders in the commissioning and implementation of major childcare initiatives.
  • Experience of dealing with external partners and funding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a Workforce Development Plan for early years childcare.
  • Generate income by delivering training services to the early years sector.
  • Implement and deliver early education childcare funding.
  • Manage IT systems for effective delivery of childcare services.
  • Coordinate governmental early years initiatives in Lambeth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve childcare outcomes.
  • Implement Early Years Capital funding.
  • Advise on business development services for childcare sustainability.
