Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a Business Manager for the Diagnostic Services Division based at University Hospital Crosshouse. The role focuses on delivering robust business systems, governance, and financial planning to support patient care and service delivery.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage complex programmes, and drive continuous improvement across the division, reporting to the Operations Manager and collaborating with clinical and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• Management qualification to degree level with significant business management experience.
• Postgraduate management training or equivalent experience.
• Evidence of CPD and ongoing professional development.
• Prince2 qualification or equivalent project management training.
• Significant knowledge of health and care sector and governance principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead on business functions within the Diagnostic Services Division.
• Establish and maintain robust systems and processes for delivery of performance targets and governance standards.
• Oversee meeting structures, planning cycles, performance and financial planning, administration, risk management and staff governance.
• Represent NHS Ayrshire and Arran across local, regional and national forums; guide Programme/Project Leads.
• Ensure governance and assurance for all business requirements and deadlines.
