Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is recruiting a Procurement Programme Lead for the Diagnostic Services Division, based at University Hospital Crosshouse. The role manages a high‑value procurement programme from market engagement through to mobilisation, working with Procurement and Legal to ensure compliant, value‑driven outcomes.

You will lead across clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders, with a requirement for a strong track record in programme management and complex procurements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience.
• A qualification in programme management or demonstrable experience in this area.
• Strong experience delivering complex programmes or procurements.
• Advanced analytical skills including financial interpretation and benchmarking.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a complex, high‑value procurement programme for a Laboratory MSC.
• Oversee full procurement lifecycle from market engagement to ITT, evaluation and contract award.
• Ensure compliance with public procurement legislation and robust commercial solutions.
• Provide programme leadership across clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders.
