Job summary

Sword Group is seeking a Contracts Engineer to shape how we manage customer and supplier contracts within our energy, public and finance sectors. You will review, draft and negotiate documents, assess commercial risk and deliver practical governance improvements across the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, terms and conditions, and contract documentation.
• Strong understanding of commercial contract principles, risk and liability management.
• Experience with MSAs, SOWs and NDAs across customer and supplier contracts.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate customer and supplier contracts, terms & conditions, framework agreements and commercial documentation.
• Identify contractual, commercial and operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide contractual guidance to Sales, Operations, Procurement and Project teams throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Coordinate contract reviews with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Procurement and Information Security.
• Manage contract approvals in line with governance and delegated authority.
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates and clauses.
• Monitor renewals, notice periods and key obligations in the contract repository.
• Support supplier onboarding by reviewing requirements, liabilities and service commitments.
• Assist in resolution of contractual queries, variations and disputes.
• Promote best practice in contract management and drive continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to support delivery.
