Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited in London is seeking a Contract Manager (Operations) on a 6-month contract with a local authority to oversee governance, performance and delivery of housing contracts.

You will translate contractual obligations into effective service delivery, manage KPIs and risks, work with internal teams and external partners, and drive continuous improvement to deliver value for money. Hybrid working available, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operational contract management and governance.
• Experience managing complex contracts with multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of performance management, compliance monitoring, assurance, and risk management.
• Experience in housing, student accommodation, healthcare, facilities management, or similar operational sectors is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and reporting to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an operational contract management framework covering leases, SLAs, and related arrangements.
• Monitor governance, performance, risk, and service delivery against contracts.
• Lead guidance on contractual obligations for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Manage provider performance against KPIs, standards, and statutory requirements.
• Produce reports and insights for senior management and boards.
• Drive continuous improvement across contract management processes and reporting.
