Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive contracting strategy and supply chain excellence for major UK infrastructure projects. You will shape procurement plans, manage supplier relationships, and deliver value through robust contracting and strategic sourcing.

The role emphasizes leadership, market analysis, and risk management within a complex project environment, with a focus on achieving best-value outcomes and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction procurement and project interfaces.
• Ability to manage, plan and structure operational procurement resources.
• Delivery of robust procurement strategies and best-value procurement.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Contracting Strategy and Delivery & Contracting Plan as directed by the CWA Procurement Lead.
• Deliver procurement and supply chain commitments within the Programme Alliance Agreement.
• Develop strategic and tactical plans to ensure adequate supply chain resources are in place.
• Ensure supply chain performance meets operational and commercial requirements.
• Lead negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes and mitigate risk.
• Support tendering, market analysis, supplier selection, and risk/opportunity assessments.
