Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing of subcontracts, materials, plant and equipment for a defined area. You will lead RFQ processes, evaluate tenders and award contracts, collaborating with estimating, project teams and suppliers to maximise value and ensure compliant, on-time delivery.

The role requires strong negotiation, data analysis and supplier relationship management, with MCIPS or studying towards it

Qualifications

• Experience of Oracle R12 and Jaeegaer Bravo would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Proactive and efficient procurement of subcontract services and RFIs/RFPs via e-tendering portals.
• Evaluate tender responses and compile award recommendations considering total cost of ownership.
• Due diligence and commercial checks for supply partners per governance.
• Negotiate terms, conditions and prices against tender allowances/targets.
• Ensure project requirements are met and contracts deliver value and savings.
• Process requisitions and raise Purchase Orders in line with procedures.
• Monitor market developments and manage supplier relationships for continuous improvement.
• Establish long-term supplier relationships focused on value, quality and service.
• Provide procurement support for estimating and work winning opportunities.
• Collaborate with work winning and project teams to resolve supply issues as needed.
• Drive HSQE+S compliance and cross-functional collaboration; engage stakeholders.
