Balfour Beatty plc's Power Transmission & Distribution team is hiring a Supply Chain Manager in Scotland, based from Aberdeen or Maxim, with travel across Scotland and parts of England.

The role leads strategic supply chain engagement for bids and projects, aligning with delivery strategy and commercial targets, while building strong supplier partnerships to ensure resilience and readiness across the project lifecycle.

Formación

• Experience developing supply chain strategies for bids and projects.
• Strong supplier relationship management and continuous improvement planning.
• Good understanding of procurement governance, risk and compliance.
• Ability to engage the market early and build supplier relationships.
• Excellent stakeholder management across commercial, operational and bid teams.
• Proven results focus and ability to deliver against targets.
• Strong problem-solving skills with practical solution ideas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confident presenting.
• Proficient in MS Office and digital procurement tools desirable.
• MCIPS or equivalent qualification preferred; relevant degree advantageous.
• Knowledge of SSEN, SPEN, transmission or Scottish supply chain markets essential.

Responsabilidades

• Lead supply chain strategy development for bids and projects aligned to targets.
• Develop and lead a Strategic Supplier Relationship Management programme.
• Lead Supplier Performance Management with improvement actions.
• Drive early market engagement and assess capacity, risk and readiness.
• Facilitate Early Contractor Involvement with partners to optimise design.
• Define packaging strategies and supply chain architecture for delivery.
• Input into pricing and solution development with credible assumptions.
• Champion governance, compliance and risk management in supply chain.
• Provide clear reporting on readiness, risks and opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the function.
• Support mobilisation readiness for bid-to-delivery transition.
