Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Business Development Manager for construction, focusing on London and the South East. You will identify opportunities, research market trends, and build relationships with developers and stakeholders to shape winning bids and strategies.

The role requires a commercially minded BD professional with a strong network in the UK construction sector and a track record of bidding for large projects.

Qualifications

• Proven BD experience within UK construction.
• Experience with a main contractor in a BD role.
• Strong network with development organisations and market stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of bid management for large-scale projects.
• Evidence of winning major projects (circa £70m+).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned to the wider business strategy.
• Research the market to spot emerging trends, competitors and target accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders (developer-side and wider market).
• Develop bid-winning strategies and support the bid process where required.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure proposed solutions align to client expectations.
