Job summary

EY in the United Kingdom is seeking a Business Development Associate Director for Government & Infrastructure to lead strategic growth, shaping opportunities across the public sector. You will drive market demand, manage the full sales cycle, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to win major contracts.

You will work with MOD, Defence or National Security bodies as advantageous, build relationships with government officials, and design targeted strategies to secure government

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the UK public sector landscape and decision-makers.
• Proven track record selling to government agencies with public sector procurement experience.
• Strong relationship-building and communication with government officials.
• Strategic thinker able to develop and execute BD plans for large accounts.
• Experience leading teams in complex services sales at senior levels.
• Advanced negotiation, influencing, and proposal-writing skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement targeted business development strategies for government accounts.
• Forge and nurture relationships with government officials, agencies and stakeholders.
• Identify and qualify opportunities aligned with EY’s capabilities.
• Lead the creation of compelling proposals, bids and presentations.
• Oversee the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure.
• Monitor market trends, procurement processes and regulatory changes in government.
• Track pipeline, forecasts and revenue targets; report insights to leadership.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development and legal teams for cohesive bids.
