You will provide specialist advice across the council's commercial portfolio and help maximise asset performance while aligning with corporate objectives.

The role requires MRICS status, strong public sector experience, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• MRICS status is essential.
• Significant experience in local government/public sector property.
• Strong commercial property and strategic asset management experience.
• Experience advising on asset optimisation and disposals.
• RICS Registered Valuer status is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic property and asset management advice across the council's commercial portfolio.
• Review asset optimisation opportunities to improve income, value and operational performance.
• Provide professional input on disposals where appropriate.
• Support development and implementation of asset management strategies and plans.
• Advise senior officers on commercial property matters, options and recommendations.
• Input into acquisitions, disposals, leases, valuations and wider asset management matters as required.
• Support the Service Lead with the effective running of the Commercial Assets Team.
• Identify opportunities to deliver value against corporate priorities.
