Job summary

Matalan is seeking a Team Manager to lead a high-energy store team, drive sales and deliver outstanding customer service. You will model Matalan values, oversee daily operations, and coach staff to maintain exceptional standards in service, VM execution and cost-aware practices.

You will be responsible for opening/closing, directing operations in the store, and leveraging customer feedback to create a superior shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar fashion or homeware retail role is preferred.
• Strong communication and people-management skills are essential.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales targets and explore sales opportunities within the store.
• Act as a role model for customer service and store standards.
• Lead seasonal layouts, visual guidelines and VM implementation.
• Open and close the store and support the manager in their absence.
• Upskill team members and provide regular feedback to boost performance.
