Job summary

Matalan is seeking a proactive Team Manager for our store in the UK. You will lead a high-performing team, drive sales, and ensure an outstanding shopping experience in line with Matalan values.

You will coach and motivate colleagues, manage store operations in the Manager's absence, and implement seasonal layouts. Being adaptable and commercially minded is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in fashion or homeware retail and leadership responsibilities.
• Excellent communication to engage and motivate others.
• Ability to provide examples of leadership experience.
• Good knowledge of Visual Merchandising (VM).
• Proven ability to identify sales opportunities and drive ideas.
• Understanding of operational processes and cost awareness in retail.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales targets and explore sales opportunities.
• Be a role model of outstanding customer service and uphold Matalan values.
• Lead the implementation of seasonal layouts and visual guidelines.
• Open and close the store.
• Upskill team members with regular feedback to drive performance.
