Job summary

Co-op Group in the Hope Valley area seeks a Customer Team Leader to manage a small store team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You will lead shifts, coach staff, handle tills and in-store tasks, and support merchandising and stock control while promoting Co-op membership in the local community.

This is a 9-month, part-time contract with 32 hours per week plus overtime, including varied shifts and at least one weekend per interview discussion.

Qualifications

• Experience leading small teams in a retail environment.
• Strong customer service and store operations knowledge.
• Flexible with shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the shift.
• Motivate and coach the team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor, tills, and in-store bakery or post office as required.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op membership and community engagement.
