Job summary

Co-op in Innerleithen is seeking a Customer Team Leader to manage a small team in a busy Co-op store, leading shifts and ensuring smooth daily operations. The role may involve work in the post office, bakery, or supporting online services and home delivery, depending on the store configuration.

You will help keep shelves stocked, support sales, and be a familiar community presence while championing Co-op membership and local partnerships.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (experience not essential)

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth
