Job summary

Co-op Group in Ambleside is seeking a Customer Team Leader to head the store team, oversee daily operations, and ensure excellent customer service. You may work in the post office or bakery and support online services and home delivery drivers.

You will lead shifts, motivate staff, and drive merchandising, stock accuracy and community engagement while championing Co-op membership growth. Flexibility for varied shifts and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and people management abilities.
• Experience in retail or customer service is beneficial.
• Willingness to lead by example and adapt to busy store environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and leading a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
