Job summary

Sodexo is hiring Stores personnel at Royal Stoke Hospital. You will help receive and deliver catering goods, maintain storeroom hygiene, and support patient meals delivery across the site.

You’ll work 37.5 hours per week across 5 days with shifts from 06:00 to 21:00, earning £10.90–£13.14 per hour. Benefits include Blue Light Card, Sodexo benefits and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills with patients and colleagues.
• Team player able to work in a busy hospital environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy for stock handling and records.
• Understanding of Health and Safety guidelines in catering stores.
• Physically able to lift and move stores and walk around site.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receipt and delivery of catering goods to hospital areas.
• Maintain stock levels and rotation; ensure hygiene in storeroom.
• Process delivery notes and manage delivery schedules.
• Place orders with approved suppliers and support stores operations.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in receipt for all goods received, checking quality and quantity
• Ensure all delivery notes are processed promptly in accordance with procedures
• Maintain delivery schedules to all areas, including patient meals to outer buildings
• Place orders with approved suppliers
• Ensure stock levels are controlled and rotation procedures are maintained
• Maintain standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the storeroom
