Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring a Domestic Cleaner at Royal Stoke Hospital. You will help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors, supporting health and wellbeing throughout the hospital.

The role involves cleaning patient rooms, wards and communal areas, with shifts of 14:00–22:00, 26.25 hours per week, on a 4 on 4 off pattern. Salary is £10.90–£13.14 per hour, with uniform provided and access to Sodexo Benefits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, wards, communal spaces, restrooms and other hospital areas.
• Strip and clean beds and collect used linen for processing.
• Clean surfaces including desks, ceilings, vents, blinds and walls to maintain hygiene.
• Perform daily tasks: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, floor polishing, replenishing supplies.
• Empty waste bins and manage refuse following hospital protocols.
• Promote and maintain a safe, healthy environment for patients, staff and visitors.
