About the Role

Our client, a highly reputable and expanding retail chain, is seeking a seasoned and strategic Store Operations Manager to oversee operations at their flagship store in Randburg . This senior leadership position is instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the store, driving operational excellence, and maximizing profitability. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in retail management, a strong understanding of operational workflows, and exceptional leadership skills. You will be responsible for managing staff, controlling costs, ensuring compliance with company policies, and implementing best practices across all store functions. This role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual capable of leading a large team and optimizing store performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of store operations, including staffing, inventory, visual merchandising, and customer service.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
• Lead, train, and motivate the store team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock control, ordering, and loss prevention measures.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans to achieve targets.
• Manage the store budget and financial performance, including P&L responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least 4 years in a store management or operations leadership role.

• In-depth knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, loss prevention, and visual merchandising.
• Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting and P&L analysis.
• Proficiency in retail management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet business demands.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
