Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Customer and Trading Manager for our Boothstown Local Store. You will lead a small team, ensure smooth daily operations, and drive customer service and KPI performance.

The role is permanent with a salary from £31,700 and benefits aligned to a store-based retail management position, including shifts and development opportunities in a busy local setting.

Qualifications

• Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and coach a team to do the same.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs in a retail setting.
• Experience handling employee relations issues including performance and attendance.
• Ability to lead store operations and work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with a small team of managers to keep the store running smoothly.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day running of the store, often as the sole manager on shift.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure customers are served efficiently and safely.
• Manage performance, scheduling, and pay; handle disciplinary actions as needed.
• Occasionally support other nearby stores within the network.
