Job summary

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd is seeking a Customer and Trading Manager for a small Canvey Island store. You will be responsible for day-to-day store operations, leading a small team, and ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

The role involves managing performance, disciplinaries, and scheduling, with occasional support to nearby stores. Salary is £30,700 per year for a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• Delivers brilliant customer service and coaches a team to do the same.
• Leads operational activities and KPI delivery.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly each day.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day running of the store and be the on-site manager when needed.
• Work with the team to ensure customers are served efficiently and safely.
• Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries, and scheduling/pay where applicable.
• Occasional support to other stores within the network.
