Job summary

Asda in Watford is seeking a General Store Manager to lead day-to-day store operations across departments, maximise availability, reduce waste and ensure safe, compliant, customer-focused service. You'll partner with the Operations Manager and department managers to uphold standards, improve delivery flow, stock routines and drive a culture of pride and ownership on the shop floor.

The role blends hands-on leadership with strategic thinking, coaching teams to perform with heart and deliver

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Lead planning strategy and execution of store day-to-day operations across key departments to maximise availability and minimise waste.
Collaborate with Operations Manager and department managers to maintain standards and drive productivity.
Improve delivery flow, stock routines and compliance to ensure a safe, compliant store.
Lead with heart, coach teams, and foster an environment of trust, empathy and ownership.
