Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd in Minworth is seeking an Operations Manager to drive exceptional store execution, availability, waste and shrink performance, and to lead and coach a large team across Ambient, Fresh, George and General Merchandising.

You will embed routines, analyse KRAs, partner across functions, and foster a customer‑focused culture with heart and pride. The role combines hands‑on leadership with strategic store improvements, delivering great metrics and service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing diverse teams in a large-format retail environment.
• Strong operational knowledge across food and non-food departments.
• A track record of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Confidence in developing large teams and managing change through leadership.
• Experience managing ER cases and understanding HR policies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent store execution across Ambient and Fresh departments as well as George and General Merchandising.
• Review store processes to improve availability, waste and shrink by embedding routines and controls.
• Coach and lead managers to deliver store standards and customer experience.
