Job summary

Birds Bakery in Lichfield is seeking a Shop Manager to lead a busy shop, drive sales and control costs. You will oversee daily operations, coach a friendly team and ensure excellent customer service in a bustling retail environment.

The role requires 40 hours per week across Monday to Sunday, with a salary of £14.11 per hour. Full-time position based at 41 Market Street, Lichfield, posting includes staff discounts and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team in a retail/food environment.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to coach staff.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Monthly rota experience and basic IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service from the whole team.
• Inspire, train and energise staff to increase sales.
• Provide store performance information to the Area Manager.
• Manage stock, payroll, waste and reconciliation performance.
• Deliver sales training to develop up selling opportunities.
• Create monthly staff rotas.
• Maintain food safety and health and safety standards.
• Ensure shop presentation aligns with the Birds brand.
• Recruit top talent for the shop.
