Job summary

Birds Bakery in England is seeking a Shop Supervisor to support the Shop Manager and drive the shop's success when needed.

The candidate will lead a friendly team, ensure excellent service, manage stock, and uphold safety and brand standards across all store operations.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good understanding of shop operations and standards for success.
• Flexible attitude to working hours and strong communication skills.
• Basic IT knowledge and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service by every team member.
• Inspire, motivate, train and energise the team to increase sales.
• Provide store performance information as required by the Area Manager.
• Manage stock control and maximise sales, payroll, waste and reconciliation.
• Deliver sales training to develop upselling skills.
• Manage staff rotas on a monthly basis.
• Ensure food safety and health & safety standards are met.
• Maintain store presentation in line with Birds' brand image.
• Recruit the best people for the shop.
• Lead by example and upsell to customers.
• Keep displays stocked with products for customer choice.

Purpose

You will support the Shop Manager in all operational aspectsof running the shop and assume overall responsibility for the success of theshop in their absence. Creating a friendly warming environment for not only ourcustomers but an environment where individuals are coached and inspired to dotheir best.

Responsibilities

• Ensurethat excellent customer service is always provided by every member of yourteam.
• Inspire,motivate, train and energise your team to increase sales.
• Providestore performance information as required by the Area Manager
• Effectivelymanage stock control and maximise the shop’s sales, payroll, waste, andreconciliation performance
• Deliversales training to the store team members to develop skills in up sellingto ensure opportunities are maximised.
• Managingstaff rotas on a monthly basis.
• Ensurethe standards for food safety and health and safety are met consistently.
• Ensurethat the visual presentation of the shop is in accordance with Birds'brand image.
• Becompliant with Company policies and operational guidelines.
• Ensurethat the very best people are recruited for the shop.
• Leadby example and serve our customers in a helpful and friendly manner,taking the opportunity to upsell products.
• Ensuringour displays are fully stocked with our amazing products and customershave plenty of choice to choose from.

Shifts

The successful candidate will need full availability to work from Monday to Sunday.

Experience

• Supervisoryexperience, desirable but not essential, with the skills and ability todrive and motivate the performance of your staff.
