Job summary

Sainsbury's Limited in Northampton is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead a busy convenience store and drive exceptional customer service daily.

You will manage a team of Customer and Trading Managers, plan for trading activity up to six months ahead, ensure safety and legal compliance, and deliver on our purpose to provide good food, joyful, accessible and affordable for everyone, every day.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an operation with accountabilities for delivering customer, financial and organisational outcomes.
• Ability to role-model excellent service and values through teams of managers and colleagues.
• Competence in using data/insight to inform planning and improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Take full control of the store and lead the Customer and Trading Managers on shifts.
• Plan and prepare for upcoming trading activity up to 6 months ahead, remaining commercially minded and compliant.
• Ensure safety, legality and strong customer focus in daily operations.
• Drive continuous improvement in customer experience and store performance.
• Lead through change, engaging the team and managing well-being.
