Job summary

Vision Express in Clapham Common is hiring a Store Manager to lead a premium optical store and drive exceptional customer experiences. You will lead a high-performing team, coach through regular 1:1s and champion patient care, inspiring the shop floor to achieve strong KPI results.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership with a focus on service quality, compliance, and collaboration with the Joint Venture partner to sustain growth and excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a premium retail operation, ideally in optical retail.
• Proven ability to drive KPIs and NPS in-store.

We're looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead our Vision Express store in Clapham Common. This is a unique opportunity to manage a successful Joint Venture store, leading from the front and creating an environment where both colleagues and customers thrive.

Following a recent refit, the store is in excellent condition and provides a fantastic setting to deliver the premium service Vision Express is known for.

What You'll Do

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the store and team
• Lead, coach and develop colleagues through regular 1:1s and performance conversations
• Create a culture focused on exceptional customer service and patient care
• Drive NPS, commercial performance and key business KPIs from the shop floor
• Lead by example, inspiring your team to deliver outstanding results
• Ensure the store operates to the highest standards of compliance, presentation and service
• Partner closely with the Joint Venture Partner to support continued success and business growth

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or equivalent leadership role
• A strong customer service background in retail, hospitality or another customer-focused environment
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams
• Experience conducting effective 1:1s and managing performance positively
• Strong commercial awareness and a track record of delivering KPI results
• A hands-on leader who enjoys being present on the shop floor
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
