Job summary

Vero HR Limited is recruiting a commercially minded Retail Manager to lead the Hotpoint Factory Outlet in Gateshead. You will own the day-to-day operations, drive sales growth, manage stock and profitability, and lead a small team.

The role requires retail experience, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to sales and marketing. SAP and Excel knowledge is advantageous, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service for both trade and public customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or similar customer-facing sales environment.
• Commercial mindset with experience managing sales targets, KPIs and profitability.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with ability to build trade and retail relationships.
• Proactive approach to sales, marketing and identifying growth opportunities.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of digital sales and e-commerce would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team, driving sales targets, KPIs and margins.
• Build relationships with trade customers and the public to generate new business.
• Manage the outlet's P&L, budgets, pricing and operating costs.
• Oversee stock control, weekly stock counts, annual stock takes and SAP sales order processing.
• Coordinate weekly appliance deliveries, ensuring stock is checked, stored safely and organised efficiently.
• Support customers with product demonstrations, sales enquiries and loading appliances.
• Deliver local marketing and promotional activities to increase awareness and sales.
• Maintain legal compliance, accurate records and health and safety standards.

We are the internal recruitment partner working with a leading global home appliance brand known for producing affordable, energy-efficient, and innovative household appliances.

We are looking for a commercially minded Retail Manager to lead the Hotpoint Factory Outlet in Gateshead. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail professional to take ownership of a customer-facing outlet, drive sales growth and develop a small team.

The outlet sells refurbished and graded appliances to both trade customers and the public.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the outlet, overseeing sales performance, stock management, customer service and profitability. This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, developing new business opportunities and taking ownership of a store's commercial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a small team, driving sales targets, KPIs and margins.

• Basic salary of up to £31,500 dependent on experience (OTE 32k - 35k dependent on sales targets)
