Job summary

Hotpoint Factory Outlet Gateshead is seeking a commercially minded Retail Manager to lead the outlet, drive sales, manage stock and run daily operations. You will oversee a small team, build relationships with trade customers and the public, and ensure profitability through effective pricing, stock control and customer service.

The role requires hands-on management, a proactive sales mindset, and the ability to deliver local marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or a similar customer-facing sales environment.
• Commercial mindset with experience managing sales targets, KPIs and profitability.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication, with ability to build trade and retail relationships.
• Proactive approach to sales, marketing and growth opportunities.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel; SAP experience advantageous.
• Understanding of digital sales and e-commerce beneficial.
• Hands-on approach to handling and moving appliances.

Responsibilities

• Deliver local marketing and promotional activities to increase awareness and sales.
• Maintain legal compliance, accurate records and health and safety standards.

We are the internal recruitment partner working with a leading global home appliance brand known for producing affordable, energy-efficient, and innovative household appliances.

We are looking for a commercially minded Retail Manager to lead the Hotpoint Factory Outlet in Gateshead. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail professional to take ownership of a customer-facing outlet, drive sales growth and develop a small team.

The outlet sells refurbished and graded appliances to both trade customers and the public.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the outlet, overseeing sales performance, stock management, customer service and profitability. This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, developing new business opportunities and taking ownership of a store’s commercial performance.

• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is advantageous.
• An understanding of digital sales and e-commerce would be beneficial.
• A hands-on approach and the physical capability to assist with handling and moving appliances.

• Basic salary of up to £31,500 dependent on experience (OTE 32k - 35k dependent on sales targets)
