Job summary

Starbucks in the United Kingdom seeks an Assistant Manager to lead in one of our stores, delivering outstanding commercial results and world-class customer experiences. You’ll own operational standards, partner engagement, and KPIs, while guiding a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role offers development toward deputy store manager with strong training and growth opportunities. As a leader, you’ll drive shift performance using data, coach teams, and ensure health and safety standards

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail or hospitality environment.
• Ability to translate metrics into actions and manage people and operations.
• Growth mindset and ambition for leadership progression.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to deliver commercial results and exceptional customer experiences.
• Own KPIs including labour efficiency, waste reduction and sales performance.
• Ensure shift plans align with roles and routines for optimal customer experience.
• Observe partner performance, coach and provide feedback.
• Recognise and celebrate partner achievements during and after shifts.
• Act as duty manager when scheduled, making operational and partner decisions.
• Maintain brand and operational standards at all times.
• Use financial and operational data to improve shift performance.
• Train and coach partners for quality, efficiency and service excellence.
• Lead and embed new initiatives and product launches at store level.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety, food safety and security standards.
