Job summary

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in Cheltenham is seeking a hands-on store manager to lead our food hall operations, coaching teams to high standards, ensuring compliance, and delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll be responsible for scheduling, performance management, and running the store when needed, with a focus on KPI delivery, stock availability, and a positive colleague and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• Provides brilliant customer service and coaches a team to do the same.
• Delivers KPIs or other performance indicators.
• Can manage disciplinaries, performance issues or other similar employee relations issues.
• Leads operations and comfortable doing this alone in the absence of more senior management.
• Proven success in delivering against a wide range of KPIs and delivering for customers.

Responsibilities

• Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the whole food hall.
• Managing compliance to processes while delivering strong shopkeeping and customer service.
• Ensure customers get the food they want when shopping, supporting first-choice status for food.
• People management including performance and scheduling.
• Occasionally running the store with direction and support to deliver for customers.
