Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd. is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee day-to-day trading across multiple departments in our Trowbridge store. You will plan and execute all trading activities, maintain safety and compliance, and drive customer satisfaction while leading a capable team on a 45-hour work week.

The role emphasises shrink management, stock availability, and coaching of the leadership team to deliver consistent shop-floor standards and excellent service. Weekend and evening flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager in a grocery retail environment.
• Operational knowledge across food and non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Good understanding HR policies and processes, and exposure to complex ER cases.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor, delivering great availability standards and key metrics.
• Lead the shrink agenda through the team and act on opportunities with the Store Manager to deliver a brilliant shopping experience.
• Drive standards and inputs, ensuring business priorities are acted upon with clear actions.
