Job summary

Asda in Trowbridge is seeking a Duty Manager to lead day‑to‑day trading across departments, ensuring safety and compliance while delivering a brilliant shopping experience.

You will drive availability, manage shrink, and coach the food hall leadership team to uphold standards with energy, pace and customer focus. The role requires Sunday and evenings work and offers a competitive benefits package. You will typically work 45 hours weekly on day shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager in grocery retail.
• Operational knowledge across food and non-food departments.
• Experience improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and leading change.
• Understanding HR policies and ER exposure.
• Strong organisational skills and customer service.
• Flexible to weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor.
• Lead shrink agenda and drive standards with the team.
• Deliver store standards and a great shopping experience.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on priorities and actions.
