Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd in Rochdale is seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead the night shift, plan trading activity, ensure date-rotated deliveries and waste control, and minimise damage through replenishment. You will coach night colleagues to maintain high shopfloor standards and foster a customer‑centric, supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, overnight preferred.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude.
• Comfort with leading change and improving processes.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shopfloor during night shift, ensuring deliveries are date rotated and waste managed.
• Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver high shopfloor standards.
• Ensure the shopfloor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the day team.
• Develop the team and foster an environment where people feel valued and motivated to step up.
