Job summary

Asda in Trowbridge is seeking a Duty Manager to lead day-to-day store operations, plan trading activity across departments, and ensure a safe, compliant shopping environment for customers and colleagues.

You will drive performance, develop a motivated team, and partner with the Store Manager to deliver great availability, customer service, and store standards while prioritising our customers and business priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager in a grocery retail environment.
• Operational knowledge across food and non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Good understanding HR policies and processes, and exposure to complex ER cases.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor to drive availability and key metrics.
• Lead the shrink agenda through the team and drive standards.
• Develop and coach the leadership team to deliver shopfloor standards.
• Support the Store Manager to deliver a brilliant shopping experience.
• Create a culture of serving customers with personality, heart and pride.
