Job summary

Mitie is hiring a Store Detective for Coop Retail Store Newhall Street and surrounding areas in Birmingham. You will protect customers, staff and assets, following Assignment Instructions and working across shifts to prevent theft and maintain a secure shopping environment.

You will join a security team, complete required training, and keep accurate incident records. A valid SIA front-line licence is essential; CCTV licence is a plus, and a driving licence with your own vehicle is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous Security Experience
• SIA Licence required
• Front-Line Licence preferred
• CCTV Licence beneficial
• Strong customer service and communication
• Full UK driving licence with own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Protect property, people and assets per AI's
• Operate across store network and deter theft
• Maintain incident notebooks and report incidents
• Communicate with Store Detective Team Leader and colleagues
• Renew licences 16 weeks before expiry
