Job summary

Mitie has a great opportunity for a Store Detective to join the Total Security Management Team. The role covers Co-op Stores Brighton and surrounding areas, focusing on preventing theft and ensuring a safe shopping environment across multiple locations.

You must have a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and be flexible for travel and varied shift patterns. SIA licence is essential, Front‑Line preferred; CCTV licence beneficial. Salary is £19.15 per hour for 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence is essential; Front-Line Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate across Co-op Stores Brighton and surrounding areas to prevent theft.
• Collaborate with security team to maintain a safe shopping environment.
• Utilise conflict resolution to handle difficult situations.
• Report to Store Detective Team Leader.
• Be mindful of legal powers of arrest, detain and welfare responsibilities.
• Adapt to diverse store layouts and risks.
