Job summary

ProCook Guildford is seeking a Deputy Store Manager to support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team from day one and delivering an exceptional customer experience with strong commercial results.

You'll lead on the shop floor, coach the team, and step in during the Store Manager's absence, ensuring smooth operations across sales, stock, service, and standards while aligning with the regional strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in a supervisory or deputy management role (essential).
• Experience in retail or hospitality is mandatory.
• Strong leadership and people support skills.
• Commercial awareness and confidence using sales data.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong operational understanding and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and inspiring the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Drive sales and performance through strong commercial awareness and KPI focus.
• Take ownership of daily floor leadership and operational excellence.
• Oversee stock, merchandising, compliance, and store standards.
• Support team development, engagement, and wellbeing through coaching and 1-to-1s.
• Use performance data to help improve results and decision-making.
• Step up to lead the store in the Store Manager's absence.
