IKEA Wembley is hiring a Store Assistant in our Kitchens Sales team to support customers with home furnishing ideas and excellent service. This multiskilled role offers variety and opportunities to work across departments in a busy store environment.

You will help customers find inspiring solutions, maintain product knowledge, and contribute to a top-rated shopping experience with a focus on the Kitchens category.

Responsibilities

• Keep your area clean, stocked, priced, well presented and easy to shop; heavy lifting may be involved.
• Work with KPIs to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.

IKEA Wembley are looking to welcome a Store Assistant within our Sales Department, based in our Kitchens team. You'll primarily support our Kitchens Sales team, helping customers bring their home furnishing ideas to life through inspiring solutions, product knowledge and excellent service. As top-performing kitchen department—the biggest seller of kitchens in the region, we are looking for candidates that are motivated in a busy environment. This is a multiskilled role that offers variety and the opportunity to work across different functions and departments throughout the store.

WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be 2nd November 2026.
• Competitive hourly rate of £14.80 per hour.
• 34 Hours working 5 days per week including day shift, evenings and three in four weekends.

• You are skilled at forward planning, can handle several tasks at once with ease, and take pleasure in being a team member as well as fulfilling responsibilities on your own.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers by actively approaching them to identify their needs and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home.
• You are always enthusiastic about the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design
• You support maximising sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting.
• Work confidently with KPIs, using them to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
