IKEA Exeter is seeking a Customer Relations Assistant to join our friendly team. You’ll be the welcoming face and helpful voice, turning challenges into solutions and ensuring customers leave as lifelong fans.

You'll work at the checkouts and returns desk, provide warm greetings, and use problem-solving skills to resolve issues while maintaining accurate cash handling and smooth operations.

IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome a Customer Service Assistant to join our fantastic team.

As a Customer Relations Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face and supportive voice that turns challenges into solutions and visitors into lifelong fans. WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 31st October 2026
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
• 12 hours working 2 days per week weekend only Saturday & Sunday. With availability to work between sat 9am - 8.30pm & Sun 10.15-5.30pm.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO H AVE

• You prefer to take initiative, are adept at managing several responsibilities concurrently, and value teamwork while also being able to complete assignments without direct supervision.
• You have a customer-first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do, always bringing positivity and professionalism to help.
• You are computer literate and able to work with technology.
• The ability to maintain composure and poise when dealing with a variety of customers and complex complaints.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Working on our checkouts and returns desk to support customers in a timely manner, ensuring precise cash handling, transaction accuracy, and a customer focused understanding
• Greeting and welcoming customers with warmth to set the tone for a great day of shopping
• Use your knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints, dealing positively and quickly with any issues raised.
• Ensure accurate handling of all returned products, highlighting and escalating any product issues immediately.
