Job summary

IKEA Milton Keynes is seeking a part-time sales associate to help customers find solutions for their home. You will be part of a supportive team, delivering a welcoming shopping experience and ensuring products are inviting and easy to find.

Flexibility for late evenings and weekends is required, with an hourly rate of £14.15. The start date is 3 October 2026 and the role offers a friendly, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep area clean, stocked, correctly priced, well-presented and easy to shop; assist with heavy lifting when needed.

What we offer

• Part Time: 24-30 hours per week working 4-5 days out of 7, including late evenings and 3 out 4 weekends.

What you’ll need to have

• You are skilled at forward planning, can handle several tasks at once with ease, and take pleasure in being a team member as well as fulfilling responsibilities on your own.
• You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
• You take initiative, make well-informed choices, and engage with your daily tasks.
• You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing day to day

• You provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers by actively approaching them to identify their needs and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home.
• You are always interested in the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
• You support improving sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting.
