Job summary

IKEA Lakeside is looking for Store Assistants to join our team in Thurrock, England. You will welcome customers, pick orders, serve in the Bistro and keep products looking their best in a fast-paced store environment.

Hours range from 7am to 10:30pm, with 12–18 hour contracts across three days a week, including evenings and weekends. The role offers an attractive hourly rate and opportunities to discuss flexible scheduling during interviews.

Qualifications

• You have a positive approach, enjoy working on different tasks throughout the day, are enthusiastic about being part of the team and can work without supervision.
• You have a customer-first mindset and enjoy the versatility of working in a different area each day, making the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
• You are computer literate and able to work with technology.

You’ll dive into everything from welcoming customers and picking orders, to serving up great food in the Bistro and keeping our products looking their best. WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 12th September 2026.
• Competitive hourly rate of £14.15 per hour.
• 12- 18 hour contracts, working 3 days per week including evening and weekend shifts.
• Working hours will be between 7am to 10:30pm.
