Job summary

The Compleat Food Group in Bristol is seeking a Stock Controller to keep stock accurate and moving. You will carry out weekly counts, record quantities, lot numbers and use-by dates, and investigate discrepancies to maintain stock integrity.

Join a small, supportive team and work with Warehouse, Planning and QA to follow FIFO and maintain auditable records that underpin our fast-paced operations.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills for records.
• Proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use own initiative to resolve discrepancies.
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with stock systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out weekly physical stock counts across warehouse and factory areas.
• Accurately record stock quantities, lot numbers and use-by dates in our systems.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Monitor stock rotation and ensure FIFO is followed.
• Report mis-rotations to Planning, QA and Operations.
• Make stock amendments and corrections as required.
• Work with Warehouse team to maintain stock integrity.
• Reconcile warehouse and inventory information including negative stock and disposals.
• Coordinate weekly stock counts with Shift and Zone Managers.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for full traceability.
