Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy in Yeovil is seeking a meticulous Stock Controller to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure storage and dispatch efficiency. You’ll monitor stock movements, manage rotations and perform regular stock takes to support production.

The role requires experience in stock control or warehouse administration, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a busy manufacturing environment. A forklift licence is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control or warehouse administration
• Experience in fresh produce or food manufacturing is a plus
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to work accurately
• Flexi forklift experience/licence beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor accurate stock levels and record stock movements
• Manage stock rotation to prevent waste
• Organise storage areas and ensure goods are stored safely and securely
• Check incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality
• Book deliveries and complete paperwork
• Pick and prepare orders for production
• Accurately pick and label pallets for dispatch
• Carry out regular stocktakes and cycle counts
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
• Operate forklift trucks and other handling equipment as needed
