Job summary

Four Seasons is seeking a hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our Kitchen team on a permanent basis. You will support chefs and keep the kitchen clean and well-organised, enabling smooth daily operations.

This role offers full training, a positive team environment and opportunities to grow within hospitality. You will work across shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, in a country-house hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow training provisions.
• Strong personal hygiene and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas and equipment.
• Operate dishwashing machinery and store items correctly.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation as required.
• Receive, organise and store deliveries following procedures.
• Dispose of waste and recycling while keeping a tidy workspace.
• Adhere to health, safety, and COSHH standards at all times.
• Support kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Participate in deep cleaning and keep kitchen presentation high.

About The Role

We’re seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our Kitchen team on a permanent basis. You will play a vital role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently by maintaining exceptional cleanliness and organisation standards.

What You Will Do

• Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, crockery and cutlery.
• Operate dishwashing machinery and ensure all items are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation as required.
• Receive, organise and safely store deliveries in accordance with company procedures.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling efficiently while maintaining a clean working environment.
• Ensure all health, safety, food hygiene and COSHH standards are consistently followed.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to support smooth daily operations and service delivery.
• Assist with deep cleaning schedules and maintain high standards of kitchen presentation.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
• Good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Ability to remain organised and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to undertake lifting, standing and other manual duties associated with the role.
