Stephens Bakery is seeking a Despatch Operative to support order fulfilment across our bakery. You will pack and pick savoury products, inspect quality, read order lists, and help maintain hygiene while working on long shifts.

The role is full‑time, 39 hours per week with night shifts, starting pay £14.65 per hour. No prior bakery experience required as full training is provided; however, a positive can-do attitude and reliability are essential to thrive in our team.

Despatch Operative – Full Time - Stephens Bakery

Hours: 39 hours per week (5 days over 7) Shift Times: 8.00pm to 12am until 4:30am to 8:30am (Depending on Rota) Starting Pay: £14.65 per hour

About the Role

As a Despatch Operative, you will assist in the fulfilment of orders of our award-winning products, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, output, quality, hygiene and health & safety. Everything we make is for our customers, so you’ll be part of a team that truly puts Customer First. What You’ll Do

• Packing and picking savoury products and bread rolls.
• Inspecting products to ensure high quality and legal compliance.
• Reading order lists and counting products.
• Carrying out cleaning duties in the Bakery and packaging area ensuring a high standard of hygiene/sanitation.
• Lifting and bending, placing and stacking completed products in the correct area for delivery drivers.
